The Southern Great Barrier Reef is one of the most amazing places on earth to discover, nurture and reward your love of turtles. By night the turtles are busy nesting and laying their eggs along the Bundaberg region's lush coastline (from November to March), but by day the Mon Repos Walking Track explores the park behind the dunes by winding its way along the foreshore.
More fondly referred to as part of Bundaberg's "Turtle Trail" this sealed path winds 4.5 kilometres return along the Mon Repos shoreline and is an easy and fun way to explore through a relaxed walk, scoot or ride that the whole family can enjoy.
Volcanic black rocks, waves lapping the shore, sun streaming through the trees, native birds and wildlife will be sure to greet you as you explore the saltpans, freshwater ponds, mangroves and melaleuca forests.
